OUR CARAVAN
Trying to choose the right caravan has its challenges! We purchased the style of van that would suit our desires and our budget.
A 2011 Coromal Magnum Transforma XC450. It has off road & off grid capabilities. We knew this was important to us because we have done the big lap before. There are some places we didn’t want to miss, such as Gibb River Road in the Kimberleys.
The Coromal can fit under a standard height garage/carport and pack down small enough for us first-time caravaners. We like that we can still get inside while it is packed up to access the fridge or sit at the table for lunch.
It has a double bed, queen bed and the lounge converts to a full size single bed. The unexpected luxury item we scored was an air conditioner! It also came with a television, which we plan to remove for the big lap.
